Osama Bin Laden: The Death, Proof, Suspicions and Future.

Osama bin Laden is dead! This is the news grabbing all the headlines of different sources of Media.

However identification questions have also left many flooded with confusion whether he is really dead or whether the dead person is really Osama Bin Laden. Indeed this is confusing and less convincing to those who argue that the news has been accompanied by less visible evidence.
DNA testing by the US is said to have confirmed his identity but a second public confirmation would have made the evidence more solid. Instead it is reported that the body has already been disposed (buried) in the sea. What’s more is that a fake photo has been circulated on some online sources.

The fact that he is dead and there is no credible pictorial and video evidence or an independent party who identified the body makes it shakier because this is not the first time news broke out that he is dead. A capture would have been more convincing as it did on Saddam Hussein.
While skeptics may doubt the authenticity of these developments, the difference is debatable because terrorism has become an ideology and philosophy. However if he is truly dead the challenges ahead are huge because those who embrace the terrorist ideologies will interpret these developments differently.

Already many leaders have warned against a possible retaliation. Typically extremists are likely to be inspired by the death of Osama Bin Laden as they see him as a martyr and they too will be motivated to be extremist martyrs.
There is also a possibility that the death of Osama Bin Laden might cause diplomatic problems between Pakistan and the US. The compound where Osama is said to have been shot seems to be an obvious suspicious structure which raises the question why it was not investigated or whether Pakistan securities knew who was living there.

What’s more is that this development seems to have correlation with claims made by the US in the Leaked diplomatic cables. Information in the leaked cables suggested that Osama Bin Laden was warned by Pakistan securities to escape from US Intelligence and that al-Qaeda terrorists were being smuggled through Pakistan airport.

The development of Osama Bin Laden being found and killed in a Pakistan compound located close to a military academy makes it messy. Moreover the operation which led to the killing of Bin Laden was US led and Pakistan got learn of the developments later on.

While the future is very unpredictable the credibility of this development rests on more proof.
